Pastor Chris Vitarelli
Lead Pastor

Chris Vitarelli has been the pastor of the Road since 2011. His goal is to teach God's Word in a way that makes the Gospel of Jesus central and gives people practical help for living the Christian life

He graduated from Cedarville University in 1998 with a B.A. in Bible and Christian Education and a second major in Communication Arts. He graduated in 2015 from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Pastoral Ministries. 

He served as the Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Lakewood, NY for over 11 years and then felt called to Michigan to plant Horizon Church in Fenton. 

In the first year of the plant, God redirected his efforts into a church merger now known as The Road. He and his wife, Jody, have produced a singing album “To Hold You” and Chris is an established author. You can see the books he has written here -

Chris and Jody  have four kids, Gabriel, Angelina, Landon, and Sofia.

Favorite flavor ice cream: Rocky Mountain Raspberry (white chocolate ice cream swirled with chocolate covered almond flakes  and raspberry jam)
