Pastor Chris Vitarelli

Everyone want's to know more about the  Pastor, right? 

Chris Vitarelli has been the pastor of the Road since 2011. He prefers the lights on when he teaches and backs everything up with scripture. All of our elders & Pastors do. 

He graduated from Cedarville University in 1998 with a B.A. in Bible and Christian Education and a second major in Communication Arts. He graduated in 2015 from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Pastoral Ministries. 

He served as the Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Lakewood, NY for over 11 years and then felt called to Michigan to plant Horizon Church in Fenton. 

In the first year of the plant, God redirected his efforts into a church merger now known as The Road. He and his wife, Jody, have produced a singing album “To Hold You” and he has written two books, Strong and Failure in the Balance. 

Chris and Jody  have four kids, Gabriel, Angelina, Landon, and Sofia.

Favorite flavor ice cream: Rocky Mountain Raspberry (white chocolate ice cream swirled with chocolate covered almond flakes  and raspberry jam)

Chris has also invested much time into "SmallChurchBigDeal.com" - a conference that allows leaders from small churches to talk and learn about different ways to use a "low volume" church to have a BIG impact in the community.
